Hi Gill Welcome to the forum. Like you, I have had RA for many years and for those of us with long term disease the chances of remission are slim due to long term damage. Recently diagnosed patients however are treated aggressively at the outset, often before damage occurs, and with appropriate treatment may achieve remission. Partial remission is more common. It involves the relief of some, but not all, symptoms. Clinical remission is the absence of all clinical signs of inflammation. Lyn x

Just read your post Lyn- my bloods showed clinical remission, but I've never been completely pain free so I guess it's partial. I do feel much better though
